Rachel Nuñez is a dancer and choreographer based in Queens. Originally from Stowe, Vermont, Rachel graduated with a B.A. in Dance and Sociology from Middlebury College. Since moving to New York, she has been fortunate to work and perform with Machine H Dance, Mark Lamb Dance and RoCM Dance. She is on the Hip Hop faculty at the Y Dance Academy in Tarrytown, New York, teaches with RoCM Dance in NYC, and serves as the Marketing & Social Media and Manager at Dancing in the Streets in the Bronx.
While at Middlebury, she danced with The Dance Company of Middlebury and was a member of Riddim World Dance Troupe and On Tap Performance Troupe. She also had the opportunity to work with choreographers that included Christal Brown, Ayo Janeen Jackson, Shizu Homma, Tiffany Rhynard, Teena Marie Custer, and Nicholas Leichter. She has presented several of her own works in Vermont and New York.
Nuñez began her dance training in ballet, modern, hip hop, jazz, and tap dance at Stowe Dance Academy, and has since studied with Christal Brown, Catherine Cabeen, Penny Campbell, Katie Martin, Andrea Olsen and Tiffany Rhynard.
